Lay Your Ghosts to Rest: a guide to understanding trauma and the mind body connection

Unprocessed, trauma is timeless and boundaryless. It haunts our present through unconscious re-enactments of past pain. These ghosts can show up in different ways, often as physical feelings of anxiety, thoughts of shame, failure, imposter syndrome, unhealthy relationships and emotional overwhelm.

But where trauma causes devastating effects on the mind body system, that act like haunting ghosts, psychotherapy can calm the mind and body, laying the ghosts to rest.

Whilst this guide is not therapy, I hope it will give you some foundations for understanding what it means to be human and that mental health is not "all in the mind".
