Dr Lizz Lewis, Psychologist, Psychotherapist and Social Change Strategist
I help people navigate life and I help society to change for the better
Life is never straightforward
I see how stigma surrounds taking time to explore our humanity, and that mental health is mostly thought about in relation to mental illness.
I feel that too much focus is given to problems with our minds and not enough attention is given to reflect on what's happening in our mind body systems.
I believe we need spaces for humanity to come together; places that normalise taking responsibility for emotional wellbeing and make talking about mental health everyday and ordinary.
I think we need a less linear approach.
What if we could strive less and feel more?
What if we had space for creativity, curiosity and reflection?
What might happen if we could make sense of our experiences, find words to express the deep knowledge our bodies hold and choose to try a different way?
Professional Experience
I embody my version of a less linear life and proudly navigate a portfolio career. I am a dual qualified Clinical Psychotherapist and Counselling Psychologist, having completed doctoral research on wellness spaces. I work 1-to-1 with adults and consult for business and social change.
I’ve worked as a psychotherapist, alongside leading national mental health and behaviour change campaigns since 2015. I began private practice in 2018. Prior to this, my experience of 15 years spans business psychology, strategic marketing, documentary film and yoga.
Consultancy and Public Speaking
I work as a consultant on behaviour and social change campaigns. I also love to help with creative projects that change lives. I speak at events and on camera, as well as offering expertise and clinical support around mental health, stigma and social change. Get in touch if you’d like to collaborate (Lizz@lesslinear.life).
